The youngest department established in the College, the Department of Civil Engineering was started in the academic year 2009. It is headed by a well qualified, enthusiastic and dynamic person Dr. Akshya Naidu who is passionate to teaching. The  department is well established with all the facilities.

Civil Engineering is considered to be the most versatile branch among all the engineering branches.  It is the branch with lot of diversity right from geotechnical sciences to structural engineering, environmental to hydraulics, transportation to hydrology;  Civil Engineering can be considered as a single largest branch among all  the engineering branches.

The department of Civil Engineering was established in the year 2009.  The department offers courses at undergraduate level.  The department is endowed with highly qualified & experienced staff.well equipped laboratories like Surveying, Strength of Material, Fluid Mechanics and Hydraulics ,CAD and good computational facilities.  The faculty comprises Postgraduates from reputed institutions with specialization encompassing the entire spectrum of civil engineering.  The department also handles consultancy works and projects.  The department has developed strong links with the building and construction industry and academic and research.  The present intake is 60.

The vision of the department is to give an exposure to budding civil technocrats to various challenges in the profession.  To be the fountain-head of new ideas and innovations in Civil Engineering.
